Dr. Christopher Awad currently serves on the faculty of the Truman School of Public Affairs as a Research Assistant Professor and Associate for the Center for the Study of Organizational Change (CSOC). He provides training and consulting services to leaders and managers in all sectors, with emphasis on the public sector, including governments, nonprofits, institutions of education and health care organizations. Dr. Awad has contributed to a number of CSOC projects, including those involving large medical schools, nonprofits, and state governmental agencies. Prior to joining TSPA, he served professionally in a variety of mental health capacities, including most recently with the MU Counseling Center and the MU Employee Assistance Program. He received his doctorate in counseling psychology and his Master of Public Administration from MU. Chris was born and raised in Virginia, where he earned a master of science in rehabilitation counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Virginia. In addition to his CSOC service, Dr. Awad teaches classes for the MU Master of Public Administration program.
