Science and Public Policy

This certificate prepares students for careers at the intersection of science and public policy and gives them an understanding of the political context around policy decisions, particularly in areas of science, technology, health and the environment.

Students also learn about policy analysis, enabling them to better understand and potentially participate in science policymaking.

Required courses

  • PUB_AF 8170: Public Policy Processes and Strategies
  • PUB_AF 8430: Public Policy Analysis
  • The student will take two additional courses (6 credit hours) from the Truman School or another MU graduate unit in consultation with the certificate coordinator.
