Research
In keeping with the University of Missouri’s status as a major research university, scholarly research
and the production of knowledge are central to the work of the Truman School. Across many areas of
scholarship, faculty, staff, and students make important contributions to theory and practice. Faculty
publish scholarly books and articles in leading journals, contribute to edited books, present at national
and international conferences, and carry out basic and applied studies. The Truman School serves as an
editorial home for the American Review of Public Administration with Professor Guy Adams as
co-editor-in-chief. Other Truman School faculty members served on the editorial boards of the leading
journals in public affairs.
The Truman School also hosts a Work in Progress Research Seminar in which faculty from the
school and other MU departments present their scholarly work.
