Melissa Saddler, MPA '04
Biologist, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

While in the MPA program, Melissa Saddler had an internship at EPA headquarters in Washington, D.C. After graduation, she was selected for an intensive two-year program at EPA designed to help "jump-start" the individual's professional career and develop potential for future advancement within the Agency.

"The Truman School offered a comfortable yet comprehensive atmosphere with a caring staff and a highly trained faculty. The rigorous curriculum offered intellectually stimulating exchange both inside and outside the classroom. The Truman School's international students offered diverse perspectives and allowed me to meet and develop relationships with amazing people from all walks of life. Combined, these factors helped me to excel academically and provided a solid foundation that has proven very beneficial in preparing me for my career in public affairs."
