Study Abroad

The University of Missouri offers a wealth of study abroad opportunities.  The University’s International Center website is a great resource for exploring these opportunities.

Truman School Associate Professor Dr. Mary Stegmaier hosts a Spring Break excursion to Brussels, Belgium to learn first-hand how the European Union is dealing with pressing policy issues.   Students meet with policymakers from European Union institutions and related organizations.  This trip is part of the online semester-long course “Institutions and Policies of the European Union”.

Truman School Affiliated Professor Dr. Judith Stallmann co-leads (with CAFNR Associate Professors Dr. Sarah Low and Dr. Francisco Aguilar) a three-credit course offered in summer semester that includes 2 weeks intensive study at the University of lapland, Rovaniemi, Finland.  The program varies each year to give a flavor of the policy issues of the country and to address new rural issues and policies, but it always includes cross-country cmparisons of rural, agricultrual, environmenatl and social policies as they affect rural areas and people.
