Bhawani Mishra is a Senior Research Associate at the Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis (OSEDA)/ Institute of Public Policy (IPP), Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. He received a doctoral degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics (with a minor in statistics) from the University of Missouri, Columbia. His research interests include economic impact analysis, poverty, food security, regional economics, and health economics. Before joining the doctoral program here at the University of Missouri, he has worked as an agricultural economist for 13 years at the Ministry of Agriculture Development, Nepal.
Dr. Mishra has extensive experience working with projects related to Missouri's Medicaid program. Recently, he worked on projects like childhood asthma, telehealth, HEDIS measures, and Mental health. Dr. Mishra has published research using secondary datasets and secondary data on impact analysis, food security, poverty, technical efficiency, and health care.
