Tapas’s research interests are development economics, program evaluation and welfare programs and their impacts on labor market. His research has been published by Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London, South Asian Economic Journal (SAGE) and Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Dhaka.
Tapas started working at the Center for Policy Dialogue, Dhaka as a research associate in 2007. In 2010, he began working at the Economics Department, Jahangirnar University and later he worked at the Independent University, Bangladesh.
Tapas was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship and subsequently earned a master’s in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He is an avid fan of traveling, and enjoys swimming and playing the tabla.
