Joe Martin serves as Deputy Director and General Counsel for the Missouri Division of Credit Unions, the state regulatory agency supervising state-chartered credit unions in Missouri.  Joe has held several senior level positions over 30 years in the executive and legislative branches of Missouri state government, including Chief of Staff for the Missouri State Auditor, Deputy Commissioner of Higher Education, and Chief of Staff for the Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman.

In 2017, Joe received a three-year appointment by the Department of Treasury to represent Missouri on the IRS Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, a nationwide federal advisory committee.

Joe received his Master of Public Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Missouri – Columbia, and completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.  Joe serves as a member of the Alumni Advisory Board, Capital Fellowship Committee, and adjunct faculty for the Harry S Truman School of Public Affairs.
