Dr. Ross Alexander has been a university professor and administrator for 20 years, with experience at multiple institutions. He currently serves as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost at the University of North Alabama. He previously held a number of leadership positions at Indiana University East (some simultaneously), including Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Graduate & Continuing Education, and Campus Director of Online Programs. Prior to that, he served as a department chair and professor at the University of North Georgia. Dr. Alexander has published numerous books, chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles in the areas of state and local governance, American national politics, public budgeting and finance, higher education policy, and online education, among others. He has won numerous teaching and advising awards.
