Since 2008, he has been an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, pursuing an academic and research career in the footsteps of his father, a retired professor at the same institution. Dinesh has published several research articles related to agricultural economics in national and international journals. He received several competitive research grants and supervised many master’s thesis students as advisory committee chairman. Dinesh recently completed two collaborative research projects, visiting Australia and Thailand for related skill-enhancement trainings. Dinesh conducts research on areas that explore determinants of technology adoption, market access, and value chain analysis of agricultural commodities. Dinesh has moved to Columbia from Kathmandu, Nepal, with his wife, Anita, and his two kids, Aayush and Jibesh.
