Sungjin earned a bachelor’s in Economics and International Studies from Handong Global University, South Korea in 2011. He also received Master’s degree in Public Policy, focusing on economic development policy from KDI School of Public Policy and Management in 2012. Prior to joining the Truman School, he worked at Korea International Cooperation Agency as an assistant manager for four years and worked at Seoul Institute as a research associate. Based on public work experiences with Korea’s developing partner countries, he extended his research interests to poverty, inequality and social policy issues.
