Trang Pham earned her bachelor’s degree in English Studies and Translation from Hanoi University of Technology in 2005. She then worked as an international relations officer at TYM Microfinance Institution, a prominent microfinance organization in Vietnam. Having gained an interest in development issues through daily work, she moved to the United Kingdom (UK) in 2013 to attend the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at University of Sussex on a Chevening Scholarship, a UK-government international award. After earning a master’s degree, she returned to Hanoi to work more on consultancy and to research various development issues such as financial literacy, early childhood development, and agricultural product value chains. Trang’s doctoral research interests include development policy analysis, governance, and organizational development and dynamics.
