Beau Underwood earned a Master of Public Policy from the Harris School University of Chicago in 2010 and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Philosophy and Religion from Eureka College in Illinois in 2006. Beau is currently the senior pastor at First Christian Church in Jefferson City. Previously, he was the senior director of campaigns and advocacy for Sojourners in Washington, D.C. and prior to that was the partnership and outreach coordinator for Faith in Public Life, also in Washington, D.C. His research interests include how Norms, stereotypes and taboos influence public policy outcomes and legislative behavior.
