Cat-a-lyst (ka-tә-lәst)
An agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action. At the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs (TSGPA) our role is to transform our students in such a way that they are ready to impact any environment they step into. The educational experience is the catalyst, the students are the change agents: Chief advisor at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, someone who is facilitating broadband and digital skills expansion to uplift Kansans, and the Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Mike Braun. When we say our students are impacting the world, it is not a metaphor. The role of the catalyst is not only to be a facilitator but to be one efficiently. Students experience this catalytic nature through a two-year MPA degree that prepares them for the theoretical and the pragmatic. For student who attend MU as an undergraduate, our 4+1 program gets them through both their bachelor's and master's degrees in five years. Students can choose the mode of study that works best for their schedules through either an in-person, online, or hybrid option: all designed to balance expediency with wholistic development. We encourage you to explore the TSGPA educational opportunities. |
