The Ferguson Commission was appointed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon in November of 2014 to conduct a “thorough, wide-ranging and unflinching study of the social and economic conditions that impede progress, equality and safety in the St. Louis region.” In April 2015, the Institute of Public Policy, Truman School of Public Affairs was contracted by the Ferguson Commission to provide data and policy analysis in support of the work of the Commission. This brief provides an overview of the Institute’s work for the Commission.
