Past research demonstrates favorable health and economic outcomes for workers with access to paid sick leave compared to workers without access. This brief summarizes the prospects for expanded paid sick leaves mandates at the federal and state level, public and employer support for paid sick leave mandates, and previous legislative proposals at the federal level and in Missouri.
