Rachel Dicke, Senior Research Analyst, Syrus Duffy, Research Specialist II, Sara Gable, IPP Director, Jacob Hansen, Research Specialist II, and Lindsey Linkous, Graduate Research Assistant attended the annual Meeting of the Consortium of University Public Service Organizations (CUPSO), April 23 – 25, 2025, at Wichita State University.
Syrus Duffy and Lindsey Linkous presented about the Foundational Public Health Services Gap Analysis Project during a breakout session titled, How CUPSO Members Tackle Complexity and Uncertainty to Support Data-Informed Policy Decisions.
Rachel Dicke and Jacob Hansen presented during a breakout session titled, Serving Vulnerable Populations. Rachel discussed IPP’s work in child welfare policy with kinship caregivers and Jacob presented on the Community Re-entry Initiative.
Rachel Dicke also presented a poster about IPP’s transition to Power BI as our primary data visualization tool (How the Institute of Public Policy Pivoted to Power BI after the University of Missouri discontinued their Tableau Server).
IPP was well represented at the conference and effectively showcased our projects and talents. Our time at Wichita State University was also memorable because of the outstanding professional development sessions on leadership, the visit to Wichita’s Botanical Gardens (“Botanica”), and our experience of “The Keeper of the Plains” firepot lighting.
