
Announcement: Dr. Lael R. Keiser Named President of PMRA (2025–2027)
We are excited to share that Dr. Lael R. Keiser, respected scholar, Professor and Director of the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Missouri, has assumed the role of President of the Public Management Research Association (PMRA) for the 2025–2027 term. Previously, she served as Vice-President (2023-2025) and as an elected board member (2019-2023).
Dr. Keiser brings to the presidency a distinguished record of scholarship and leadership:
- Her research focuses on policy implementation, administrative burden, representative bureaucracy, and the automation of public service delivery.
- She is an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a recipient of prestigious recognitions such as the Midwest Political Science Association’s Herbert Simon Award and the American Society for Public Administration’s Rita Mae Kelly Award, and the American Political Science Association’s Gaus Award.

Under her presidency, PMRA anticipates continuing their initiatives aimed at advancing research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and fostering professional and academic opportunities for researchers.
