IPP Welcomes Dr. Mark White as Interim Director

The Institute of Public Policy is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mark White, an Associate Extension Professor and Policy Research Scholar for the Truman School of Public Affairs, as the Interim Director of the Institute. Dr. White holds a Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Miami, an M.A. in Geography from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and a B.A. in Geography from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. 

Dr. White came to the University of Missouri from George Mason University (GMU), where he served as the Deputy Director of the Center for Regional Analysis and conducted economic and workforce development research in the Washington, DC area. Prior to his time at GMU, Dr. White was the Vice President for Research at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness (CREC) in Arlington, VA. During his time at CREC, Dr. White managed a wide variety of economic and workforce development research and technical assistance projects across the United States and Canada.

His past research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Environment and Planning AEuropean Urban and Regional Studies, and European Planning Studies.
