Truman School of Government and Public Affairs

The MU Institute of Public Policy is delighted to welcome Mark Benton as a new Senior Research Analyst. Mark earned his BA (Sociology) and MPA from Saint Louis University and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Truman School of Government and Public Affairs.  Mark’s scholarship addresses timely policy issues including policing, the minimum wage, and city planning and management.  As a graduate research assistant, Mark was part of the IPP’s DESE Preschool Development Project team.  In his new role, Mark will lead program evaluations and be part of the IPP’s ongoing effort to build capacity for more academically oriented work.
