The Truman School offers its sincerest condolences to the family of former Columbia Mayor Darwin Hindman on his recent passing.
Mayor Hindman served on the Governor Mel Carnahan Public Service Award Selection Committee since its inception in 2010. The Carnahan Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions through their public service, both paid and volunteer. The Carnahan Fellowship/Scholarship Award recognizes a student in the MPA Program at the Truman School for their commitment and contributions to public service. He was also a classmate and friend of Governor Mel Carnahan in the School of Law at the University of Missouri. Mayor Hindman served the City of Columbia, MO as mayor from April 1995-April 2010.
