Truman School Earns NASPAA Reaccreditation

The Truman School of Government and Public Affairs is pleased to share that our Master of Public Affairs (MPA) program has been reaccredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) in 2025. This recognition affirms the quality, rigor, and impact of our program, and it reflects our commitment to preparing the next generation of public service leaders.

NASPAA accreditation is the global benchmark for graduate education in public affairs, and it signals to students, faculty, alumni, and employers that our program meets the highest standards of excellence. Reaccreditation requires a rigorous self-study and peer-review process that evaluates curriculum, faculty qualifications, student outcomes, and our broader mission to serve Missouri, the nation, and the world. “Congratulations….You are part of the global community of over 200 accredited graduate programs in public service,” said Angela Eikenberry, Chair of the Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation for NASPAA.

The Truman School is driven by a dedication to public service that combines scholarship with experiential learning. Reaccreditation not only validates our work but also supports an expectation of improvement and growth, expanding access, strengthening partnerships, and equipping students with the skills and vision to lead in a rapidly changing world.  “We are proud to share that our program has been successfully reaccredited by NASPAA. This process gave us the opportunity to showcase the strength of our program to our peers and the accrediting body. It was a lot of hard work, but worth it to ensure we continue to deliver a program of the highest quality,” said Kathleen Miller, Director of the MPA program.  School leaders are grateful to the dedicated faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners who contributed to this process. Their work and support ensure that the Truman School remains a place where public service leaders are built.
