The Women’s Foundation released its initial findings of a statewide study examining issues concerning Missouri women at a well-attended conference Friday at the Sheraton Hotel at Crown Center in Kansas City. CEO of the Foundation, Wendy Doyle, hosted the conference and released the findings of a study commissioned to researchers Brian Dabson, Emily Johnson and Jacqueline Schumacher at the Harry S Truman School’s Institute of Public Policy. Missouri women are facing critical issues of wage inequality, lack of accredited childcare, access to health care and higher education, senior poverty and under-representation in government. These findings translate into a need for policy change to improve the conditions and quality of life for Missouri’s women.
