MO Department of Social Services

The MU Institute of Public Policy (IPP) is pleased to announce a new partnership with MU ParentLink, College of Education and Human Development, and the MU School of Social Work.  With funding from the MO Department of Social Services to ParentLink, IPP and its partners will conduct a quasi-experimental evaluation of ParentLink’s Kinship Navigator Program which provides quality information, connection to services, and problem-solving support for kinship caregivers across Missouri.  The project will be implemented to comply with the US Social Security Act’s Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse Standards and Procedures and includes both primary data collection and state administrative data.  Project staff includes Sara Gable (IPP Director) and Sonita Simelus (IPP Research Analyst), Manda Tiwari (visiting Assistant Professor in Economics), Angie Nickell, and Alice Fette (MU ParentLink), and Clark Peters and Amelia Holliday (MU School of Social Work).  This is very important work for the welfare and well-being of MO’s children and youth.
