Veterans Administration
The VA Hospital in Columbia, MO contracted with the Institute of Public Policy to conduct focus groups with Veterans who are enrolled in Veterans benefits but have not recently utilized healthcare benefits at the Truman VA Hospital.
Impact
The goal of the project is to hear from Veterans regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the VA healthcare system and suggestions for improvement. The focus groups give Veterans the opportunity to share their experiences, identify existing and potential barriers to quality healthcare, and have their questions regarding Veterans' benefits answered. The VA Hospital gains valuable information about how all aspects of Veterans healthcare can be improved in order to provide the highest quality of healthcare to our Veterans.
